About Us

Mission:
SIM Canoeing Club represents the interests of students in the Singapore Institute of Management, in the management and promotion of canoe related activities and competitions. The club aims to nuture, realise the potential and carry forth the excellency in each and every canoeist.

Objectives:

Promote participation of canoeing activities in Singapore.

Nurture and prepare potential SIM canoeist to compete at national level.
Uphold high standards of sportsmanship.
To do SIM proud!

History:

Founded in July 2007, SIM Canoeing Club was started by a group of 5 friends. At the nascant stage with only 5 men strong, there was much to accomplish. In November 2007, the conglomerate Seasports Club disbanded and SIM Canoeing Club was on its own. With sheer hard work, the club has grown to 30 members strong and has since clinched the first Gold medal in the National Canoe Marathon in July 2008, paving the way for greater success. Barely a year old now, the club is determined to continue grow and strive for greater heights.
