Training Schedule For the new Semester

Hi canoeist,
this is my 1st time posting so it will be going to be a very very loong post.

- Land Training in July will be every monday, 530pm-830pm

- August onwards Land Training will be every Tuesday, 530pm-830pm
Those who have lesson in the morning are not allow to go out shopping, you are only allowed to go for your projects meetings, if not study together with the rest of the paddlers who have lessons in the morning. ( Which is Me ) and especially to paddlers who have failed module last semester

- Banning from 1 race rule still stands for failing any module, but luckily this time the next upcoming is NCC which only a few are going for the experience.

- Extra Gym Training is on hold and will be revised, So paddlers are required to self train in the gym yourself. Ask a group of friends in the club to visit the gym with you.

- Sea Training will be still on every Sunday, will be revised till after NCC which is after 20th of July due to budget constraints.

Lastly the attendance rate during the holidays are as follows :

Sarah 74%
Junsheng 80%
Jason 70%
Kanghao 81%
Clarence 80%
Peiyu 80%
Nizam 64%
Pam 19%
Melissa 60%
Anne 20%
Huiliang 30%
LingZhi 54%
Ben 0%
Vincent 0%
Yvonne 0%
Jianhua 0%

After discussion with clarence we have decided that those whose attendance is below the mark of 70% will not be issued with the club singlet. The above attendance is taken mostly based on the Sunday Sea trainings, attendance for the land training during May was lost and training dates kept changing, therefore it will be unfair and inaccurate to set the benchmark on 70% and , therefore this time we will not issue the singlets to those attendance rate below 50%.

Attendance rate will be reset and recalculated, Starting this sunday sea training onwards for the next 3 months till september. So...

First - Those who received the singlet this time if your attendance drop below 75% the club will be taking the singlet back from you.

Second - Those who did not received the singlet this time, will receive yours if your attendance is above 70%.

Lastly i greatly apologise to the team for not committed in preparing you guys for this upcoming NCC, will train you guys hard to prepare for the next upcoming race, will try to fixed training dates so that you guys can arrange ur timetable properly. So some of the improvements i would like to achieve is :-

1stly improve in terms of training intensity,

2ndly in terms of attendance hopefully the enforcement of attendance, using the singlet as an incentive will help boost up the attendance rate.

3rdly the sourcing of equipments and budgets

Lastly getting a coach.

I am sure you guys should know the most important aspect in paddling sports is in your stroke so please treat all water training seriously, when u are in the water, please put your focus in the strokes and not to completed the laps as soon as you can by putting in all your strength, you can only be fast if your strokes are as efficient, that your boat can glide the furthest distance given one stroke and least amount of strength applied. As you all know, we do not have the luxury to have us go down and train everyday as we do not have our own equipment. So do treat every water training seriously and most important train happily smile like nizam always do :)

P.S though saying that we still need the strength and fitness so please do not skip any land training, and do self-train lots yourself to make up for the lost of water training that we cant do.

Also I really think our new ex-co have been doing a damn great job so far, in terms of planning for the orientation camp and the preparation of our own club singlet(finally we are getting it) So i wan to take this chance to thank Sarah Jason Melissa and Kanghao for being commited in getting all these things in place, you guys really motivate me back to be more committed in my club duties. And also not forgetting our devil Ken who has been tekan us in a good way during land training, and the rest of the members like anne, huiliang etc, for turning up at the booth to help out and recruit members. Ok that is all for my long post. thanks for reading.
