Attendance Criteria

The following attendance requirements are from Coach.
It is basically the same thing Collin and I have always been emphasizing on, and we believe it totally make sense. If you don't have good attendance, naturally your performance won't be good too.

Observed Monthly (8 Land, 4 Saturdays, 4 Weekdays =Official Trainings) :

  1. Coach has to see you at least for 3 Saturdays
  2. Everyone to clock another weekday paddling (attendance paper will be put in B4S)
  3. At least 6 out of the 8 Land Trainings

All these requirements enables you to be excused when you have unavoidable events.
It doesn't mean that you are entitled to 2 land and 1 water "holidays" whenever you want in the month.

We will still set WEDNESDAYs as another official weekday paddling since there is no other day that more people can make it. I will inform Coach so it can start the following week. So, those who do not have school, you will have to go down for Wednesday Water Session. Others who have school, you will have to clock another Weekday Water Session yourself according to your own schedule.

ALL THESE REQUIREMENTS APPLYS TO ALL

-Those who haven't take your 2.4KM Run Time Trial please either take on this Wednesday Training or OTOT and let me know by FRIDAY!!!!  I have to submit the results to Coach.

-Next Tuesday, 22nd Nov: 7pm, LT4.05, Mental Skills Training (Black Canoe Shirt with any bottom)

-Next Friday, 25th Nov: 630pm, LT1.10, Sports Night (Black Canoe Shirt with Long Pants/Jeans, Covered Shoes, Strictly no Slippers/Crocs/Sandles)

More About Mental Skills Training:

By this guy:
Edgar K Tham-Sport & Performance Psychologist

Edgar holds black belts in both Aikido and Taekwondo, and has been awarded Colours Awards for his leadership and achievements in canoeing and dragon.
So i believe he understands our sport quite well, which means it's really beneficial for us, because other than all the Coaches around, it is really hard to find other experts who understand our sport well enough.

More About Sports Night:
I know many of you still do not really know what is it about. Basically it's a night where Sports groups get recognized and receive awards.
