Singapore Canoe Marathon 2011
The yearly highly anticipated Singapore Canoe Marathon is back; earlier in Jan and with a completely different route! SCM 201will be held on 9th January at The Float @ Marina Bay, Marina Reservoir
Registration is open and the closing date will be 21 Dec 2010
A) Canoe Marathon Route
K1, K2, C1, C2
- Each lap is 4.3 km.
- There will be portage for every round where applicable.
- The finishing after all the laps will involve paddling towards and turning at the yellow buoys and to the Finish Line.
PortageThere will be one portage point and it will be marked with flags showing the start and end of disembarkation and embarkation area.
a) Portage will be required for K and C events.
b) No portage for Touring (T) Kayak events.
c) The distance of portage is estimated to be 110 metres.
d) Competitors shall embark and disembark in the defined area
e) Competitors are to carry their boat across the portage.

- After passing the yellow buoys near the Merlion, the T1s paddle pass the edge of the floating pontoon without any portage.
